The ultimate goal of our office is to get you out of pain and prevent relapse. Using physical therapy we are able to maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability, relieve pain, and expand mobility in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by the process of aging, injury, or disease.
An initial evaluation will help determine your physical therapy needs. We assess range of motion, strength, and functional movement patterns to see if there are any imbalances present. We then take that information and create a custom rehabilitation plan for you. This can include both stretching and strengthening exercises for the upper and lower body, core stabilization exercises, functional movements, and the use of modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Through our programs of treatment, we can help existing problems and provide preventive health care for people with a variety of needs. With physical therapy we can prevent and treat all types of injuries, give special exercise and body mechanics instruction to reduce the pain of injury.
